I love when super high tech geeks mix their work with their play. The Official Google Reader blog has this recent post regarding using Google Reader on a Wii. The author apparently hacked away at it and now has developed it such that it works pretty well.

So yes, I will be trying this on my Wii as soon as I develop a wicked case of Wii Elbow.

I’m a Sixers fan, so I must say I’m very disappointed. And not just for the obvious, that there is no chance we will end up with Oden or Durant. I’m more disappointed in the fact they will be picking #12. Or more generally they will again get a semi decent pick. They really don’t need another “player”. They need “the man”. And it is rare to get a guy of serious ability at 12. Right now projections include either Jeff Green from Georgetown or Spencer Hawes from Washington. Nothing against either of these guys, but how are they going to change the Sixers fortunes? I’ve seen Jeff Green in the NBA before, it is Andre Igoudola. Who in his own right is a very good, versatile player. But isn’t Rodney Carney, their first pick from last year, also a versatile player. The Sixers have actually molded themselves into the potential to be a team with solid players able to handle their roles in all phases of the game. They have a solid point guard in Andre Miller, and very good small forward in Igoudola, a very good shooter in Korver and a few players other players who can contribute a bit of shooting, defense and rebounding. But they have no lead guy. They look like the Nets without Vince Carter and of course a wannabe Jason Kidd in Andre Miller. Point is, if they lucked out in getting a high pick, they’d have ended up with a potential superstar. Now with picks 12, 21, and 30 they do have the potential of adding good players, but their upside is to be the Bulls and without a star the Bulls have struggled becoming a championship level team.

I must admit, I have a fear of clowns. Not the corny Insane Clown Posse types. More like the old fashioned doll style clowns. The kind that will move their heads in the middle of the night while you are sleeping. In all reality clowns are creepy. I have on more than one occasion picked up my paper and found a story about an alleged child molester who worked part time as a clown. Not all clowns are inherently evil, only Pennywise from IT, John Wayne Gacy, the clowns from Killer Klowns from Outer Space and Ronald McDonald.Honestly, I’m not alone in this, see the wikipedia entry Evil Clowns.

Can’t sleep, clowns will eat me
